Recipe: Spicy Sausage, Goats Cheese and Fig Tartlets

Ingredients - (serves 2)

4 sheets of puff pastry squares
12 slices spicy sausage
8 slices goats cheese
2 figs, sliced

Method -

Place the sheets of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper.

1/4 inch from the edge of each sheet of pastry score a line along each edge, this will allow the edges to raise slightly.

Prick the pastry inside these lines with a fork to prevent the centre from rising.

Place 3 slices of sausage on each sheet, followed by 2 slices of cheese and two slices of fig.

Brush round the edge of each pasty square with milk.

Place in a preheated oven at 200c for 15 to 20 mins, until the cheese has melted and the pastry is golden brown.
