Recipe: Orange Sorbet

Ingredients -

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp orange zest
4 large oranges
mint to garnish

Method -

Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.

Stir ad cook over a high heat until sugar is dissolved.

Boil without stirring for 1 min.

Remove from the heat and set aside.

Grate the zest of the orange and set aside.

Squeeze the oranges, strain the juice and put into a measuring cup that will hold up to 4 cups.

Stir in the sugar syrup and zest.

Add water to make up 3 1/2 cups in total, stirring well.

Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

Transfer to an ice cream container and freeze.

Remove after 1 hour and fork through.

To serve put into individual glass dishes and decorate with a sprig of mint and some freshly grated orange zest.
