Recipe: Caramelized Onion and Cheese Bread

Ingredients -

125g plain flour
100g whole wheat flour
2tsps baking powder
1tsp salt
100g grated hard cheese
1 large onion , caramelized (see recipe)
2 tbsp melted butter
1 beaten egg
125ml milk

Method -

Sift flour, salt, and baking powder into bowl.

Using your fingers, mix in the caramelized onions. Doing it this way means you are able to separate the onions in the mix to get an even distribution.

Mix in the grated cheese.

Add the melted butter, milk and beaten egg.

Transfer into 20cm tin lined with greaseproof paper.

Sprinkle a little more grated cheese on top of the mix in the tin.

Bake at 190c for approximately 30 mins.
